 Failsafes now available
Hi guys,
I now have OFNA Mini Failsafes available. For those of you who are not familiar with what a failsafe is, it basically is an electronic device that can detect problems with your radio, if there is interruption or loss of signal this nifty little device will apply the brakes until the signal is back to normal. As you can guess it will pay for itself in the case of an accident. As many of you would know, power to weight ratio is critical to performance of any car, reducing the weight and size of additional objects to your car will allow it to perform at its best. Here is a link for full details of this unit:
http://www.ofna.com/failsafe-micro.html
Here are some pictures:
These are available for $39, I know there are cheaper around but you won't beat the quality of one of these, thats why I have chosen to sell this particular one rather than cheaper, larger, heavier units.

Failsafes are good I have got 3 fitted to trucks and buggies. There is nothing more disheartening than watching your pride and joyy run away at full noise into the nearest unmovable object
I can still remember a day in a park outing with the family playing with truck and buggy. My mother in law was driving my condor pro which didnt have a failsafe fitted at that stage and 10yr old daughter was driving my Revo racing her Nan around the cricket pitch. I looked away for while only to look back and seeing the condor pro take off across the park and almost dissappear out of sight over the road and through someones front yard .I was glad it ran out of fuel and didnt get run over crossing the road. So after that I fitted failsafes lesson learnt.
The smaller the better and if programmable even better. Tried the venom smart temp which is programmable for temp as well as signal and voltage failure. They are worth about twice what Trev is selling here but do have issues with some frequencies so a simple failsafe is sometimes better.
Cheers Bill

Yes from what I can see it has a set light, but I haven't read the instructions yet so I can't be 100% sure.

Trev, do have have any more of these in stock?
took my car to work today to show the boys at lunch, my transmitter antenna came out about half way up so i just slotted it back in sitting loosely...anywho, it got about 30m away from me then took off flat stick across a footy oval just missing the a goal post and the bondary fence, ended up airborn over a tree root before cart wheeling into a cyclone fence snapping a front wheel clean off, only broke a steering arm so no biggy there, but still coulda been a lot worse, had a full tank of juice in it so i'm lucky the cyclone fence was there.
So yeah.... might be time to spend a bit of cash on safety instead of speed

Good idea, I don't have any at the moment, I ordered more from my supplier in the U.S Last week and have been waiting but they sent me an email to say they are on vacation and won't send them until the 23rd, so I probably won't have any until the end of the month sorry.

yes when u buy the car buy a fail safe befor u even get it get trev to put it in or throw it in the box i tell every one to buy one never run there car without it but most dont listen then brake steering arm and bend the hell out of the chassi then they gotto spend twice as much! so much cheaper to get it at the start

the throttle servo plugs into one side and the other side plugs into where you pulled the throttle servo out of. then turn all the radio gear on and hold the brakes on, put a little bit of wire in the setting button and hold it down till it flashes quickly. turn off the controler and try push the car if the brakes are on its set right. do this test twice to make sure. then it should fit inside the reciever box
