 BLOODY PULLSTARTERS!!!
Hi my exhaust has leaked oil onto my pullstarter which is fine because it is all cleaned out now but I have pulled out the little metal recoil that pulls the cord back in and I cannot for the life of me get the bloody thing to go back how it was. Has anyone been in the same boat before? If so how do you do it with out failure and swearing after 4 hours?
s?

I did one years ago by tying it up with a piece of strong but thin string and when it was in the case I cut the string, if that makes sense woohoo

Have also had this problem too, try as above, I have also used a set of pliers and winded it up then with a second set of pliers moving it back into position, oh pointy nose pliers work well, over normal pliers.... Might help to have the surround in the vice so it doesn't move everywhere, its just one of those things...
