Not happy and wanting too sell.
My Losi 10-T nitro is pissing me off.
I'm wanting to get rid of it and ditch the hobby for a few months.
I've had the friggin' thing roughly 2 weeks TODAY! It's just reached the 1.8ltr mark, so still quite new and never jumped/raced. It's been used 95% on tarmac and the other 5% on grass and light gravel.
The stock clutch got screwed (apparently to LHS) but I have an odd feeling they didn't actually know. So, when I rolled it.. it was fine, rolled a meter or so with no noises etc. Flipped it upside down to clean it briefly then re-rolled it on it's wheels.
It stuttered and made a noisy "crunching" sound, so took it to the LHS and they said the clutch was gone because of the high idle (factory tune). 2 hours or so later (they even asked me too leave "Can you please leave?") gave me the opinion they didn't actually have any f@$king idea. They had it working when I returned, they put a clutch NOT suited for this truggy, charged me $20 (after saying they won't charge anything) and sent me on my way.
Also, tuned it to insanely lean and said it was good, bogged out and stalled like crazy.. I re-tuned it within 10minutes of getting it home. I ran 3 tanks today, just cruising around the street and taking it easy.. bought it inside and decided too clean all the burnt fuel from the chassis and such. Pushed it across my room, rolled to my girl friends foot with no worries (no noises etc) Flipped it upside down to clean underneath the wing, flipped it back over..
And presto, crunchy noises once again. So, I'm quite pissed off as you could imagine.. I'm going to take it back once again and explain this s#!t and refuse to pay for any fee's they want too charge me. F@#K man.
Anyway, I'm now considering selling this truggy with as the complete RTR set including original box. Any ideas guys? ;(
PS. Sorry about the mass rant, it's just.. I don't have a job and saved for ages for this thing.. only too be somewhat jibbed.

Well, unless you can start pulling things apart and diagnosing problems yourself it would be a bit hard Dean....You prolly have to see it from the lhs view too as in that many cars get returned with the customer saying they did nothing wrong ad it is the cars fault. I am not saying this is your case, just trying to explain why the lhs is acting as they are as I have read about this many times before. I believe they should be sending it back to the Losi dist (ME in SA I believe) and getting it fixed. Try to start with basics and describe the probs you have and (I have said this before) try to listen to one or two people at the most as everyone will have a different opinion (Dave is good with Losi's I believe). So fire away with the probs, take a chill pill and let the answers begin. The resale on these type of cars is shocking tbh so stick with it and fix it fella

Got a video you can put up for some extra info? Might be gear mesh or something. Or bearings, or diff gears. Or clutch bell bearings. Basically anything that is metal on metal is worth checking. You'll have to listen really careful and find out where the sound is coming from through. This might sound stupid but it works on a real car, if you have trouble making out where the sound comes from put a piece of garden hose to your ear and use it like one of those stethoscope things the doctors use. Don't bother going back to the hobby store I reckon, its way better to fix these things urself, cheaper, more fun and gives you a good idea of how the car is put together so you can fix it urself

Not happy and wanting too sell.
The most I can take apart is like.. the fuel tank, air filter and wheels >.<
Ffs, I feel so ripped off. $650 wasted D;<
*sigh* I just wanted to have some fun, I'm at TAFE all week and can't go out much.. This was the perfect thing to do and get outside for a little while.
I feel if I take it apart, I won't know how to put it back together? ;(
It rolls one car length then decides to stop (the wheels lock up) but the thing is, it was fine until I flipped it over?

Sounds like it could be the brake binding, I have had this issue before, check your pads are not binding with the disc....

This is simply the worst exploded diagram i hav eever seen, but here is the diagram for your car if you don't already have it. http://www.losi.com/ProdInfo/Files/LOSB ... edView.pdfNext, i find when tearing apart my car it's easy to remember where screws go and such by putting the screws back onto the part you just diassembled... and not put a whoe heap of screws onto those magnetic dishes or things people normally use. I would think it's either your clutch bearings that have died (page two of the exploded view, bottom left, hold the flywheel tight, and undo the bolt labelled B3313 and check the bearings labelled A6954).... or i would bet money it's one of your pinion gears (Page 1, left side, part number B3571... commonly the bearings B6947 fail and cause the pinion gear itself to then spin off-centre) You must check both the front and rear pinions and bearings. Just do one thing at a time. Take your time, and do one step at a time so you don't get confused. To be honest I find doing maintenence on my car jsut as enjoying as driving the thing !!!! Hope you figure out what your problem is... it's an expensive hobby, especially when you start out. As you get more experienced it gets waaaaay easier

Don't let a few minor issues deter you, from what I can tell these look like a great little machine, I find with any rtr from new there is always teething problems, good luck with it

FFS, name the friggin business that sell these toys and claim to offer a repair service with out actually knowing how to fix them! There is nothing to them anyway, so easy to fix. Bit harder over the net though.

Dude, I am the LEAST technical person anywhere. I have never worked on cars or anything before I got my buggy and the first time I took my warhead about it scared the crap out of me ( mine was a lot cheaper than yours though ) After smashing the front end and wrecking the two speed gear box the only choice I had was to go for it and take it apart. Once you have done it once it's easier the next time and you will find it's actually really simple. Just keep everything separate and laid out on the table. Make sure you have heaps of light and just take your time.
And like someone said, listen to advice from one or two people, not everyone.
Good Luck!

That's prolly not the first time I have heard bad things about them, I find them a bit "strange" at the best of time but they always help out my nephew enough to keep him coming back. They are pretty busy on saturdays from what I have seen, put on a show in front of the other customers at the front desk, don't go down in the basement where noone can hear you Judging by the amount of stock they had oin the middle of the floor a couple of weekends ago they wouldn't want their customers hearing your story of no backup. It might pay to leave it with them.....I don't know if that would be best though. Go get 'em fella

It was something about "brake drag" so it's all good now, I just had to re-tune it.

Well there ya go It was mentioned above by Matt and in the thread that I posted the link too that the air filter rubs on the front brake cam/disc, so keep an eye on that and see how it goes. Keep at it fella

If you buy your fuel from the hobbyman they mix their own....Unless you get it from a sealed bottle. I don't know how current these fuel prices are but.....Scroll down the page and have a look http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TEAM-INFINITY-28 ... 20b2606447
